Is it easier to practice Danish at the workplace than in random interactions?

Could it be true that it is easier to practice Danish at the workplace than outside in stores, cafes, and various institutions? 🇩🇰

You might say that the workplace is where you want to speak once you are "perfect", because you don't want to feel stupid there. (Let’s ignore “perfect”, although it never serves anyone) 🤐

Following this logic, you try speaking Danish in various places where:

😟 you don’t know what to expect
😟 people are in a hurry
😟 people do not anticipate you speaking non-native Danish, they panic and switch to English
😟 people do not have the energy or skills to manage slightly challenging conversations in Danish

Chances are you will feel terrible and be sure that people think of you as an idiot.

On the contrary, if it is done right at your workplace:

🎯 Your colleagues know you as a valuable team member, so learning Danish can only bring you extra respect and support.
🎯 You can be prepared and play on your own field.
🎯 You can explain the pursuit of a Danish conversation to your colleagues and make them your allies.

👏 Your success will be their success. So much easier to practice again! 👏

🛎️ For companies, I have a practical and actionable presentation on this topic. With 1:1 clients, we incorporate this method into the lessons.

Let me know where you prefer to practice Danish in real life, and of course, drop me a message if you want to hear more!
